THSA Open Meeting and Public Testimony Policy
Statute
Section 182.058 of the Texas Health and Safety Code specifies
that the THSA shall develop and implement policies that provide the
public with reasonable opportunity to appear before the board and
to speak on any issue under the authority of the
corporation.
Policy Statement
Public Input on Non-Agenda Items
Time will be set aside in regular meetings of the THSA for the
public to comment on any subject that is not a scheduled item on
the agenda except for public testimony. Persons wishing to
comment must state their name and who they represent for the
record. Unless authorized by a majority vote of the meeting
quorum, comments will be limited to no more than five minutes.
Public Input on Agenda Items

public to comment on agenda items. Persons wishing to comment
must state their name and who they represent for the record.
If multiple persons from an organization or affiliated group
are present, one representative must be designated to speak on
behalf of that organization or group. Unless authorized by a
majority vote of the meeting quorum, comments will be limited to no
more than ten minutes.
