HHSC HIT Practitioner Survey Report
To help gauge healthcare practitioners' interest in, and use of
health information technology (HIT), the Office of e-Health
Coordination (OeHC) at the Texas Health and Human Services
Commission (HHSC) commissioned the Texas A&M Public Policy
Research Institute (PPRI) to conduct a statewide survey in early
2011. The purpose of the survey was to gather information about
healthcare practitioners' opinions and uses of EHRs in their
practices as well as their views on health information exchange
(HIE).
The results of the survey are available in a HIT Practitioner
Survey Report published by HHSC in February 2012.
